We are looking for a Value Stream Manager.The Value Stream Manager is responsible for the management of all resources within the assigned area to satisfy customer requirements for timely delivery of quality product, while optimizing throughput, inventories, and all costs. The Value Stream Manager must promote a climate that is lean, cost efficient, safe, and productive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotes and practices a participative management style and team building.
Participates in overall production planning and translates plans into specific manufacturing objectives, activities, and schedules.
Utilizes lean tools such as: Kaizen, SMED, OEE, Value Stream Mapping, etc, to drive waste out of Plant systems.
Maintains coordination of all process functions including maintenance, engineering, scheduling, supervision, and the actual manufacturing of product in a well-organized manner.
Identifies resources (people and equipment) requirements and to develop specific plans and schedules for building the manufacturing organization.
Responsible for the achievement of critical success factors identified in the annual business plan.
Supervises all unit employees including: appropriate staffing of unit, implementation of effective technical, managerial, and other training programs, compliance with safety policies, plant rules, unit operating procedures, quality policies, and housekeeping practices, and appropriate performance feedback.
Responsible for and authorized to take whatever actions are necessary to prevent non-conformances relating to product, process, and quality systems.
Participates with the plant staff in strategic planning, forecasting objective setting and prioritization of capital and expense projects.
Create time lines, action plans, first and second level paretos, and improvement action data.
Implements systems and procedures to ensure a capable manufacturing process, and to audit the quality of products produced. Develop a work environment that places high value on top quality products.
Contributes to and supports safety and quality programs.
Identifies opportunities for productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Administers the labor contract in the unit and represents management in step two of the grievance procedure.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION:Bachelor of Science degree in a technical or business-oriented field preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5 plus years of manufacturing experience and a minimum of 2 years leadership or management experience preferred. Experience in lean manufacturing principles and processes preferred.
