ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Director Product Marketing - Planning to join our fast-growing company and marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director Product Marketing, this role will be responsible for the creation and delivery of messaging, positioning, Go-To-Market product launch strategy, industry & customer research/ briefings, and field enablement for financial and operational planning initiatives. This is a major growth area for OneStream with many new initiatives planned in 2024 alone. The planning market is very competitive, and this senior leader will be required to develop the strategy to further differentiate OneStream in the market and ensure our product development excels.
The Global Director will collaborate at a senior level with product management, competitive intelligence, marketing, pre-sales, customer success, sales and Go-To-Market teams to create and support market awareness and enablement for existing and new solutions including but not limited to targeting FP&A, commercial finance, HR, sales operations and supply chain planning professionals in large enterprises.
The Global Director will have accountability for the creation and communication of impactful storylines highlighting OneStream's platform advantage for the planning domain plus own, manage and communicate new feature/functionality launches, product adoption and customer success - providing product/ industry input, collateral, education and GTM enablement tools required to help OneStream attract new customers, advance customer adoption, and achieve a significant increase in sales goals.
Own global product marketing for planning and collaborate on sales enablement plans to support revenue objectives of growing existing ACV and acquiring new customers.
Develop new and differentiated messaging and positioning, build, and deliver sales tools across the sales cycle, including presentations, white papers, data sheets, and other tools, to enable Go-To-Market teams to communicate the value of OneStream's platform effectively.
Manage multiple product launches across virtual teams by building value messaging in collaboration with product management, develop collateral and sales tools, and work closely with sales and marketing teams to craft marketing plans. Develop, drive and support partner enablement in collaboration with partner marketing.
Bring deep knowledge and expertise of complex buying/selling processes involving multiple decision-makers for software and solution purchases and translate that to successful GTM strategies.
Instigate effective buyer persona and market research activities, leveraging both primary and secondary research to identify potential market opportunities.
Form a leadership team along with product management, global domain leads and commercial expansion team to provide key product research, market analysis, industry research to significantly influence new product development processes.
Partner with key industry experts to analyze market trends and competitive strategies. Collaborate with competitive intelligence to create actionable intelligence for the OneStream Go-To-Market teams, product management, marketing, and executive teams to elevate our positioning and increase our win rate against the competition.
Evangelize and elevate the messaging around our solutions from high level speaking engagements at field marketing events, conferences, tradeshows, to analysts and customers.
Develop compelling messaging, content & presentations, and other sales tools for the global sales team.
Drive effective customer interviews to achieve more value-based case studies and video content that demonstrate the value of OneStream to prospects and customers.
Manage complex and ambiguous communications across key business stakeholders within product management, presales domain, customer adoption marketing to advance Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and influence executive and domain centric user groups.
QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Formal Education and Certification
BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or relevant experience in the industry
Advanced degree/MBA is a plus
Fluency in one or more of French/German/Spanish desired
Knowledge and Experience
7+ years related senior level product marketing experience, in corporate performance management (CPM), Leadership of the planning product domain on a global basis or with a significant focus/specialism on planning & analysis technology across global regions.
10+ years of relevant domain experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales planning, supply chain planning with a solid understanding of finance processes and the target personas.
5+ years of experience & excellent knowledge of competitive applications including one or more of SAP EPM Applications including BPC, BFC, Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Oracle EPM including Hyperion Planning, Planning cloud & Essbase, Anaplan or Pigment.
5+ years of experience in the full lifecycle of product launches to market including interacting with product development, planning, defining messaging & content, campaign management, PR and influencing analysts.
Excellent communication skills including writing, content development and presentation.
Strong understanding and track record enabling the entire sales cycle: sales enablement, selling to customers/partners, holding conversations with both line of business executives and technical decision makers.
