Position Summary: Support the audit and finance team in day-to-day functions. Prepare and perform internal audits. Assist with external audits, and annual consolidation of financial information.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist, plan and perform internal audits
Prepare audit reports
Review and verify financial information
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, business standards and policies, applicable regulations, contracts, and grants
Participate in external audits
Assist with annual consolidation
Help complete bank reconciliations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Knowledge of audit and accounting software
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
