Requires Bachelor’s in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or closely related field. Will accept a single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, professional credentials or professional experience determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service. Position also requires 5 yrs experience applying & debugging machine vision and robotics products and systems in an automotive environment; working with robotics software & controls development; adjusting robotics function packages & grippers; developing hardware & software circuitry for the operation and sequencing of robots; selecting & validating robotics communication and controls hardware to meet customer specifications and performance criteria; developing testing tools & protocols to evaluate the build and performance of circuitry and logic; leading and/or coordinating automotive projects and/or programs involving the development of advanced automation and/or robotics solutions, including leading and/or coordinating project stakeholders, budgets & schedules, identifying technical risks, and serving as the technical interface to customers for resolution of project issues; and providing technical input to sales & marketing stakeholders for the development of proposals to automotive customers for advanced automation and/or robotics projects.
