Global Public Safety is seeking a skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our Sales team. This exciting opportunity will require you to travel in a designated territory, learn new technology and work with a reputable company backed by a knowledgeable team. The candidate chosen will help identify the needs of the prospect/customer, demonstrate the benefits of our software and present the Global solution portfolio to local government enterprises, growing the customer base in their territory (to be defined), winning new customers and enhancing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, expressive (verbally and written word) self-starter with excellent technical skills, demonstration experience/capabilities, configuration experience with complex solutions and who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers.
This position will report to the VP-Sales for Global Public Safety.
What your impact will be:
Work as a key member of the Sales team to expand the Global customer footprint
Identify Technical aspects of ideal prospect profile.
Help to qualify prospects through interactions involving demonstrations, analysis and solutions development
Engage and manage prospects within the territory to develop a pipeline and forecast for closure
Be part of a team which responds to published requirements and requests for proposals (RFP)
What we are looking for:
Law Enforcement (sworn or civilian) industry experience
Broad and deep understanding of Law Enforcement solutions
Sales / sales engineering/Management background (Law Enforcement preferred)
5 years of software sales / sales engineering experience
Ability to travel as required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
What would make you stand out:
Knowledge of the Law Enforcement market
Understanding of Law Enforcement Agencies across State, County and Municipal levels
Experience in Law Enforcement and / or technology solutions designed for Law Enforcement markets.
Experience using Law Enforcement solutions in practical applications
Practical knowledge of funding sources for LE agencies at all levels
Experience with grant sourcing or grand funding for LE Agencies
Software Sales/ Sales Engineering experience
