HDR Engineering is looking for Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join our growing team in our Lansing, MI office.
Primary Responsibilities:
In the role of Water/Wastewater Process Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Evaluate emerging/embryonic technologies. Develop and implement piloting workplans on such technologies with strategic clients nationwide.
Compile and analyze wastewater data. Develop customized unit process mass balances based on the data for clients using the likes of BioWin or GPS-X.
Engage with our clients to discuss their needs and how HDR can assist them
Prepare plans and specifications for treatment plant design projects
Coordinate process designs within multi-discipline teams
Engage with and mentor less experienced staff on project teams
Provide construction and post construction phase project support to clients
Strong writing and oral skills: the majority of evaluations that HDR performs requires a final report and client presentation.
Presentations at local, regional, and international conferences.
Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maters in Civil Engineering preferred
Preference given to local candidates
