Overview of this Position:
The Microbiologist III supports quality systems as they relate to the manufacturing and testing of cGMP drug products. These duties will include but are not limited to providing advanced laboratory testing support, document authoring and review, test method transfer/verification execution and continuous improvement projects.
Bachelor's degree in Biology and/or other related discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of pharmaceutical or microbiology testing experience and a minimum of 2 years sterility testing experience.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Perform microbial analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, in-process samples, finished pharmaceutical products and stability.
Run instrumentation independently, including but not limited to, endotoxin, TOC, sterility isolator, and Conductivity on pharmaceutical products according to client/compendia procedures and departmental SOPs.
Work collaboratively with Senior QC team members, Quality Assurance and Microbiology team.
Perform preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment as needed/determined by Senior QC team members/management.
Troubleshoot methods and complete continuous improvement projects related to existing methods.
Review laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations.
Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with cGMPs, company SOPs and current industry practice, as applicable.
