EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under direction performs routine Computer Aided Design (CAD) for highway, bridge and/or Culvert construction projects. Gathers information and supporting documentation to assist in the process of acquiring, disposing off and maintaining Right-of-Way (ROW) records documentation. Responds to inquiries from the public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates ROW acquisition parcel drawings for road, bridge and culvert projects.
Reviews site plans submitted for developments, and utilities throughout the county to ensure plan accurately reflects the existing & proposed ROW along roadways and assists with establishment of additional ROW if needed for plans.
Assists ROW personnel in maintaining departmental records and performing related record maintenance tasks.
Maintains records of ROW acquisitions and catalogs documents in files and visually on multiple reference materials.
Develops project files for retention of project and tract records.
Reviews subdivision plats for accuracy. Ensures plat boundaries have proper closer and determines if interior roads meet the master plan.
Performs related work as required.

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or two years of relevant college-level course work

Five (5) or more years of experience with ROW and/or real estate along with CAD & Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
