The Billing Operations Lead will be responsible for supervising billing team staff productivity and performance. The Billing Operations Lead plays an intricate part in providing analytical expertise for the revenue cycle management process while identifying workflow issues and providing solutions.
In this role, the successful candidate will must be able to proactively monitor daily workflow and staff productivity while adhering to R1's key revenue performance and quality metrics.
Responsibilities:
Measure performance (quality and productivity) for both onshore and offshore resources
Conduct 1:1 meetings, scorecard reviews and performance reviews with staff
Develop and coach team members in skills and processes to promote quality
Facilitating and/or assisting in facilitation of client assistance review meetings
Reviewing weekly client assistance for reductions or movement of accounts
Liaise with multiple service teams including coding, billing, follow-up, denials, clinical denials, credit balance, cash posting, document management and quality assurance
Maintain internal trackers and escalate issues accordingly
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
3-5 years of experience in billing and AR Follow Up in a hospital or healthcare environment
1+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher
Ability to work well independently and in a team
Good project management skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and good decision-making abilities
Positive attitude
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $46,971.35 - $74,607.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
