Old Redford Academy is hiring a 5th Grade Teacher located in the middle campus. Must have a Michigan Teacher Certification with endorsement in subject. Position is immediate!

Summary:
Our school is seeking a full-time 5th grade elementary teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have experience working with young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
- Provide additional support and resources to students who need extra help
- Participate in school-wide events and activities, such as field trips and assemblies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- Teaching certification or license with endorsement in subject
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Knowledge of state standards and curriculum requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
