Job summary:
Coordinator for schedules and appointments between patients and medical providers. Determines the priority of patient needs to determine when an immediate/available appointment should be made. Manages cancelations, including a provider who may need to reschedule a full day, finding the best alternative for all involved.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Recent experience in a professional office setting.
Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace while keeping a positive attitude.
Ability to type accurately and have working knowledge of fax and copy machines, as well as computers.
Ability to keep complex appointment schedules and prepare accurate lists from such schedules.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, other employees, and patients.
Ability to conduct self in a professional manner.
CPR Certified (obtain upon employment)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage incoming phone calls in a professional manner, routing to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Scheduling appointments for:
RHC providers
Specialty Clinic providers
Satellite Clinic providers
Telehealth
Maintains assigned physician calendars, including PTO, meetings, special requests, once approval is given.
Requests insurance information and updates demographic information.
Serves as public relations representative to all patients.
Compiles and mails patient appointment packets as directed.
Initiates phone connections to other internal and external sites for physicians as requested.
Demonstrates appropriateness in meeting objectives in age-specifics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
