Summary About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Soldier & Chem/Bio R&S Directorate, CHEM/BIO PSID. Responsibilities Plan and execute supply chain management and maintenance functions, such as program support requirements, distribution activities and procurement. Coordinates with representatives from DoD components concerning readiness issues and provide information or assistance. Demonstrate understanding of logistics processes, their functional inter-relationship and direct relationship to supply and maintenance Transition-to-Sustainment (T2S) and Sustainment support to effectively meet program and mission requirements. Establish supply chain management strategies and maintenance strategies to improve supply chain responsiveness and adapt to changing requirements. Takes appropriate action to optimize all supply-based metrics. Provide quality information and service to units. Manages inventory to optimize material availability and weapon system/unit readiness. Analyze, prepares, and presents supply, acquisition and maintenance based metric charts, reports, and Narratives. Responds to taskers/requests for information. Reviews directives and regulations to determine their application to current projects; initiates and/or participates in the development of procedures/policies for assigned items/processes.
