Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer
Perm from Day one and onsite 3 days a week.
Job Summary
The role will be responsible for assisting with implementing and documenting best practices related to the design, planning, management, maintenance, and support
of multiple Microsoft technologies.
Primarily these will include, Azure, Active Directory, SCCM and Intune amongst others.
This position will work with key Development and Infrastructure teams to provide application services and recommend new applications as appropriate. This position works under general supervision; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and requires a certain degree of creativity and autonomy to perform the job.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As the Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer some of your key responsibilities will be:
Assist with the architecture and design of Azure infrastructure to meet business needs.
Deployment of workloads to meet customer needs.
Secure resources to meet the desired security level.
Integrate on-premises systems in correlation with Azure.
Monitor the system to ensure optimum performance and providing system support.
Deploy virtual machines in a highly available setting.
Analyze, engineer, and implement highly complex, enterprise level Active Directory solutions.
Act as product owner as it pertains to Active Directory
Comfortable resolving complex AD infrastructure issues.
Assist architects in the development of solution/system architecture and design deliverables.
Write and maintain documentation of relevant operating procedures and processes.
Champion technology innovation to deliver business improvements and benefits to customers.
Assist with designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting an automated workflow for cloud and virtual environment provisioning through Azure Dev-Ops & allied tools.
Write and maintain documentation of relevant operating procedures and processes.
Assist with designing, developing, and building the business's cloud infrastructure architecture.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience is required.
3-5 years' experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers /cloud systems.
Direct experience working with Active Directory and Cloud computing (in Azure).
Azure Active Directory Domain Services (ADSS) experience is preferred.
Ability to interact and communicate between technology services teams.
Strong hands-on experience scripting/development skills in PowerShell, Python, Java, etc. in a corporate environment.
Working knowledge of infrastructure design and components, such as servers, operating systems, networks, and storage.
Understanding of the Azure Cloud foundational components, with hands-on-experience in several of the following areas: Azure Cloud IaaS & PaaS services, Identity and access management, Software-defined networking, security, governance, and compliance Cloud automation and provisioning tools/techniques, Azure native disaster recovery & resilience capabilities and Cloud Optimization.
Experience with Azure Virtual networking, Azure Firewall, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Private Link, Traffic Manager, Express Route, and Azure Application Gateway.
Ability to prioritize multiple large projects as well as day to day tasks.
Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and ability to work well under pressure.
Strong analytical skills in making the appropriate business and technical decisions.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and workload planning skills are essential for this position.
Experience debugging environment issues using available Azure tools is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
Ability to pass a drug test.
