Overview
The Pricing Systems Product Manager Sunrun plays a critical role in the business' success by owning the pricing infrastructure that is the core of our business' profitability. In addition to designing and scaling the underlying systems that price our products and features, you will design and lead initiatives to create additional value for Sunrun and our customers. You will be a thought leader and work cross-functionally to ensure pricing architecture is one step ahead of business partner and end-customer needs, and that we have the appropriate processes in place to scale efficiently. In addition, you will coordinate cross-functional market and product launches, support the pricing architecture of new business models, and improve the pricing products and processes over time. As a Pricing Systems Product Manager, you will be at the center of our business. You will interface daily with our Software and Product management team, and also work closely with a variety of business functions ranging from Marketing, Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations Teams. The Pricing Operations Lead role is among the most challenging and rewarding. We are looking for a highly talented and driven individual who is excited to take on this challenge.
Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of the business and how we make money
Distill business partner feedback (sales, product, finance) into coherent specific pricing initiatives; develop business cases and collaborate with software & technology leaders to execute
Analyze current and new product offerings, market opportunities, competitors and business models; drive towards recommendations on pricing architecture and necessary software initiatives
Constantly improve the business processes and transparency related to our pricing systems
Lead proactive and educational communication and coordination of pricing operations to internal teams in a professional and consultative manner
Evangelize pricing, strategy and roadmap with various functional groups across Sunrun (particularly with sales) and drive excitement
Stays up to date on changes to our industry and business processes, identify impact of changes on all processes, materials, and messaging, and work with departments to ensure changes are absorbed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a software product management, pricing operations, consulting, or technical leadership role, preferably in a world class tech company/start up, or a solar company
Demonstrated experience as a business process leader
Solar industry experience and understanding of solar products desired but not required

Product and business judgment: has the judgment to prioritize best product improvements and deliver great end to end customer experience based on customer and market need, organizational limitations and business environment
Process Management: can lead complex end to end processes with stakeholders across dozen functional groups and several interdependencies
Analytical skills: can build robust models and analyze vast quantities of data to unearth most important insights; Excel capabilities required; R/SQL skills helpful
Technical skills: Significant experience with Python, SQL, or comparable language
Agile/Scrum methodology
Ability to design and build scalable processes and infrastructure
Learning and continuous improvement mindset: actively solicits feedback to improve self; proactive about improving product by always generating hypotheses and validating hypotheses
Attention to detail: pays attention to the specifics, in terms of process, customer experience or detailed metrics to deliver on pricing outcomes
Communication: listens for meaning, translates concepts effectively and is articulate with both verbal and written communication; can command a room full of business leaders and drive outcomes
Adaptability: adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions; anticipates and copes effectively with the complexity of change

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$103,221.56 to $189,240.19
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
