Position Description:
Job Description Current operational hours are from 5:00PM until 3:30AM. Some weekends and/or Holidays will be required. Must be able to work regular overtime and any shift. This position is not eligible for remote work. What You Will Do: - Supervise 15-35 hourly UAW employees is all aspects of operation: Inbound, Outbound, Cross-Dock, Inventory. - Deliver on objectives including, but not limited to: Safety Metrics, Quality Metrics, Inventory Accuracy, LPMH, Cycle Times, Vacation Scheduling, Absenteeism, LPMH, Process Adherence, Process Improvements - Champion a strong UAW relationship through the application of the UAW Contract, while motivating and counseling UAW workforce as required - Facilitate start-up meetings, effectively communicate with team members and document were applicable - Champion and lead initiatives to achieve a best-in-class Redistribution Center through process improvements and process adherence - Effectively and confidently communicate with all stakeholders of the operation - Putting the customer first and striving to treat them as family
Skills Required:
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and Holidays when required. - Knowledge or high technical aptitude for learning current operational systems (SAP/EWM). Proven ability to learn new software systems. - Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Self-Starter - Goal oriented individual. - Have continuous improvement mind-set. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees. - Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours. - Dependable and responsible leader that puts a high value on integrity.
Experience Required:
- Previous UAW/Distribution/Logistics/Supply Chain supervisory experience preferred.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
