Essential Job Functions
Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with all customers and co-workers.
Assess and develop company network and system needs.
Responsible for design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of network switches, computer systems, Servers, virtual systems, and cloud systems.
Evaluate and recommend new software and testing of software upgrades.
Other Job Functions
Maintain network and account security.
Develop and maintain company network and usage policies.
Assess, design, and maintain system backup strategy.
Identify and resolve systems and software problems, assess impact and prioritization of issues (Tier 3 support role).
Communicate and document system changes
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Initiative-taking.
Advanced knowledge of IT systems (cloud and on-prem), computer systems, and networking concepts.
Proficient with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter server and vSphere 6.5+.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Ability to assess, communicate, and effectively develop IT best practices, including but not limited to security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.
Ability to communicate and report incidents, issues, and status with staff.
Collaborate with team members for project planning and daily operations.
Physical/Mental/Sensory
Requirements
Able to lift to 50 lbs.
Able to stand and sit for various lengths of time.
Able to bend/twist and reach a limited amount of time.
Working Conditions
Mostly office environment including:
- Light Manufacturing Environment
- Little to Medium noise level
- Moderate temperature ranges
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, and Certification)
Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
Must have 2+ years' experience in a system or network engineering role.
Proven record of accomplishment of developing IT strategy and plans.
Previous experience with Windows Server 2012 R2+, M365, HPE/Aruba preferred.
