We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Accountant to join our thriving food processing manufacturing facility. As a full-time member of our accounting department, you will play a leading role in maintaining our financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. In addition, you will be responsible for managing manufacturing and inventory requirements to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes and the availability of products to meet customer demand.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and a willingness to learn new programs and tasks and help to create a fully integrated inventory system which aligns with Enterprise Quickbooks.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing work requirements.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a positive and cohesive team.
- Adherence to established procedures, rules, and policies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management techniques.
Manufacturing and Inventory Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor and track manufacturing processes, ensuring timely and efficient production of goods.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize production schedules.
- Work closely with procurement and production teams to minimize wastage and maintain cost-effective inventory levels.
- Implement inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and regular physical inventory checks.
- Monitor and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory items, recommending appropriate actions to minimize losses.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile financial records with physical inventory counts.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to manufacturing and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
