Manage Project Managers, Support Engineers, and Key Account Customers. Review and provide expertise for material handling projects being transitioned to the Customer Service group. Lead complex projects consisting of PLC controls software, WMS software, high speed carton, package conveyance and sort subsystems, pallet handling systems, automated guided vehicles, and mini/unit load cranes. Oversee processes associated with change control, approvals, and information exchange involving both internal and external stakeholders and subcontractors. Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships of a project team to obtain effectiveness. Mitigate scope, schedule, and cost concerns both internally and with customers. Manage the development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas. Coordinate on-site activities involving (sub)contractors vying for the same space and time windows. Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures. Identify resource requirements with supporting plans and justification. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Review and understand what deliverables are due for each project and guide the team to project completion. Conduct employee Performance Reviews. Conduct routine meetings with Key Accounts to ensure delivery of support services. Manage status reports. Approve time sheets.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $136,000 - $165,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field and 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, Software Engineer, Controls Engineer, or closely related occupation. Also requires 3 years’ experience with PLC controls software; WMS software; high speed carton, package conveyance, and sort subsystems; pallet handling systems; automated guided vehicles; mini/unit load cranes, SAP, CRM, JAVA, MySQL, Oracle, Pl/SQL, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Windows XP/7/8, Mac, Linux, MS Office Suite, MS Visio, and Apache Tomcat 8.0.
