Manages projects for the automated material handling scopes within Dematic. Manages complex projects consisting of PLC controls software, WMS software, high speed carton, package conveyance and sort subsystems, pallet handling systems, automated guided vehicles, and mini/unit load cranes. Coordinates project teams to deliver within scope, on time, and within budget. Oversees various projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time constraints, internal and external staffing, and equipment including software and hardware. Provides direction to project team including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks and technical functions. Manages a project within the triple constraints of scope, schedule, and budget. Identifies and manages project risks with actionable mitigation strategies. Analyzes project profitability forecasts appropriate monthly costs for revenue recognition and ensures timely and accurate invoicing. Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to specific projects. Provides Project Management Practices and Solution Development Leadership to the PreSales efforts in accordance with pre-sales processes. Uses knowledge of the constraints and methods for defining and demonstrating equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria. Develops detailed project schedules inclusive of all in-scope engineering, installation, and integration schedule activities as well as explicit and implicate out-of-scope milestones by others (i.e. owners and general contractors) impacting project execution. Applies base principles of systems engineering in the project execution efforts and in presales solution development efforts.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $94,000 - $113,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field and 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, Software Engineer or closely related occupation in the material handling or IT service industry. Also requires 3 years’ experience with WMS software, package conveyance, sort subsystem, shuttle systems, automated storage and retrieval systems for mini loads, cartons, pallet handling systems, automated guided vehicles, JAVA, SQL, XML, and Soap UI. And one year of experience with high speed carton, mini/unit load cranes, PL/SQL, Unix, and integration of the AutoStore solution. Up to 30% travel required to various unanticipated locations.
