General Summary:
Assist production control manager with shipping and receiving responsibilities.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Health and safety of all team members.
Supervise and direct shipping clerk and shipping team members.
Set objectives and establish plans to accomplish such goals.
Complete timely reviews on all team members.
Processing the proper paperwork on a daily basis to ensure timely shipments to all customers.
Ensure proper documents are accurately handled for international shipments (i.e. credit and shipment releases).
Inform appropriate personnel daily on the quantities and numbers shipped.
Maintain data daily in Odyssey for inventory, down-time and goods received.
Gather information from Odyssey on the supplier vendors and construct a monthly report in Excel to be submitted to the Corporate Purchasing Manager.
Enter Daily production into Odyssey.
Schedule carriers and customers.
Administer invoices for all goods received and export shipments.
Monitor and order shipping materials.
Track vendor delivery performance.
Perform inventory adjustments.
Coordinate outside vendor to customer shipments.
Maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts and coordinate required physical inventories.
Participate in physical inventory as required.
Direct processing schedule to meet shipping requirements.
Entering requisitions for cores, filters and any additional items needed.
Entering requisitions for outside vendors such as heat treat, machine, and painters.
Responsible for the completion of bill of ladings and packing slips.
Coordinate inbound shipments of customer containers and maintain accurate inventories on all containers.
Book outbound shipments of customer castings.
Work with corporate to develop a list of approved freight carriers.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word, Excel, 4-D and Mainframe software that aids in production, i.e. Odyssey.
Excellent communication skills in order to build and maintain customer relations.
Exceptional knowledge of our products and their proper container.
Must be able to work in and encourage a team environment and facilitate change when necessary.
Maintain exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with diverse groups of people, including customers, manufacturing, sales, engineering and shipping department team members.
Ability to calculate and review documents for accuracy.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and on their feet 50% on the production floor.
Must be able to move about inside the office and in the plant.
This position will operate a computer and other machinery in the plant.
Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person, by telephone and electronic communication
