This position is located in Houghton Lake, Michigan. We build custom cabinets, drawers, tool boxes, tailgates, side rails for up-fitting on medium to heavy duty trucks such as crane or service truck. Must be self-motivated and willing to learn/grow with the company and able to work overtime. No Weekends! Competitive pay based upon experience and knowledge. Must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen (including marijuana).
To succeed in this position, the successful candidate will have:
- Proficiency in MIG welding (horizontal, vertical, overhead, structurally sound); TIG welding a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Able to work efficiently while unsupervised and as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand dimensional drawings, blue prints
- Sheet metal and aluminum finishing skills
- Confidence working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Commitment and drive to maintain reputation for quality
- Attention to detail and safety
- Willingness to learn/grow in the position
- Shear and press brake experience a plus
- Own basic general shop and fabrication tools
