The Barry Intermediate School District, an educational service agency with offices in Hastings,
Michigan and serving Delton Kellogg Schools and Hastings Area Schools, is seeking a Special
Education Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team of

Background: We are a small intermediate school district in beautiful Barry County, Michigan.
Our office is located within an hour or less of downtown Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing,
and Battle Creek. Our programming is primarily in special education. We work in close
partnership with neighboring ISD’s to provide full service to our constituents in the most
economical way possible.
Salary and Benefits: Full-time, 200 day, salaried position. Salary is competitive and
commensurate with experience. Medical, dental, and vision insurance offered.
Reports to: Director of Special Education
Supervises: ISD Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Bus Drivers
Oversees: Administration of the special education program of the ISD to provide or expedite the
delivery of services to all persons enrolled in center-based programs and throughout the ISD,
including transportation, monitoring of special education programs and services as required
by the Michigan Department of Education, technical assistance, use of EdPlan system,
and other functions as listed in full job description.
