HIRING AUTHORITY: Chief Circuit Court Judge
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt - Overtime pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement or Human Resources and Labor Relations Policy
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period
CURRENT HOURS AND STARTING TIME: Full-time position (37.5 hours per week) The starting time for this position is 8:00 a.m.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under direction, performs various clerical and support tasks. Performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Types a variety of materials, including memos, letters, forms, envelopes, reports and other correspondence.
Enters information on records and forms.
Maintains clerical records and files.
Provides telephone coverage, answering questions appropriate to skill level; relays messages to appropriate individuals or departments.
Assists others in determining needs and explains office regulations, policies and procedures and/or provides information.
Makes duplicate copies of reports and/or information and routes to proper persons, departments and/or files.
Receives, screens, sorts and/or counts materials such as applications, permits and forms.
Separates, sorts and stuffs envelopes for mailing or distribution.
Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, digital imaging systems, fax machines, copiers, and calculators.
Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience
- One (1) year of clerical experience
- Previous Michigan Child Support Enforcement System (MiCSES) experience
- Previous OnBase Document Imaging System experience

Knowledge of:
- Office terminology, procedures and equipment
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Google products, such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs
- OnBase Document Imaging System

- Effectively speak, write and understand the English language
