MATERIALS PLANNER
ROSCOMMON PLANT - ROSCOMMON, MI
As a member of the Lear Roscommon Team, the Materials Planner will be responsible forcoordinating production and shipping activities of plant with customer requirements daily. Serve as primary contact and liaison with customer planning personnel. Create and maintain daily customer delivery schedule and direct activities of shipping dock personnel and freight carriers to meet release requirements.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Update and review customer releases to determine daily delivery requirements, maintaining records as required.
Review cum discrepancies and resolve with customer input.
Load releases into system for inclusion in MRP/RPS cycle.
Prepare load orders and direct activities of shipping fork truck drivers to support on-time delivery to customer.
Initiate and coordinate premium transportation in expedite situations with manufacturing departments as required.
Create and maintain documentation for premium transportation.
Review service production and delivery requirements and coordinate with manufacturing departments.
Maintain safe and efficient shipping and part staging area, including practices of dock personnel and condition of external dock area collaborating with other members of materials team.
Monitor release changes from customer thru SAP.
Monitor and report on-time customer delivery status daily and provide information for monthly update of MOS measurables.
Assist in the coordination of build-out situations and prepare obsolescence claims and documentation when required.
Special projects as assigned.
Make recommendations and contributions toward continuous improvement.
Follow systems for TS16949 and ISO14001.

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum three years of automotive experience in materials, shipping, or production planning.
Experience with computerized MRP Systems and familiarity with EDI preferred.
Effective communication, critical thinking skills, and organizational skills in a team environment.
