Summary:
The Issues Risk Management Insights Director is responsible leading a team, enterprise-wide, to proactively address Issues on the front-end through bank process design and mapping, Issues management, and establishment of enterprise-wide sustainability expectation. This position reports directly to the Issues Risk Management Executive and Deputy Chief Risk Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct end-to-end process mapping insights from root cause analysis.
Establish consistent "Issues Management" reporting across all findings and observations.
Conduct deep-dive analysis and develop root cause themes.
Analyze themes to identify gap, as well as reporting the status of remediation on "Issues Management" root cause themes through the Risk Governance Framework across the Bank, aggregating to Risk Management Committee and Risk Oversight.
Develop and implement an "areas of guidance" to ensure repeatability and sustainability.
Provide a comprehensive update on Findings, Observations, Root Cause analysis and themes.
Build, lead, and coach a team of Risk professionals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Large Bank transformational experience
Large Bank Issues Management experience
Archer GRC analytics experience
Root-Cause analysis and detective experience
Bachelor's Degree required (Finance or Business Administration preferred)
Minimum 10 years in-depth banking knowledge
5+ years leadership experience
5+ years Operations/Operational Risk/Audit experience
Experience mining Issues management data (e.g. finding descriptions, observations, root cause analysis, action plans, milestones, status updates)
Expertise in bank front-office and back-office processes, regulatory and audit expectations, to create root cause themes and challenge action plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Large Bank regulatory experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including senior executive-level leaders.
Experience communicating with business partners and project Directors.
Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats.
Ability to educate and drive cultural awareness of effective risk management.
Excellent influencing, consulting, and communication skills
