Overview
The QSR Associate greets and serves guests, prepares food, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this job.
Responsibilities
- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders - Demonstrates a complete understanding of the menu items and explains them to guests accurately - Uses plus-selling techniques and makes customers aware of promotions - Rings food orders on the register and collects payment from guests making change accordingly - Prepares food neatly, according to formula, in a timely manner - Checks products in food & beverage areas and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout shift - Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up - Cleans and maintains all food service areas, including the guest seating area and display cases, to promote a clean image - Cleans and sanitizes all food service utensils and dishes in the three compartment sink (wash, rinse, sanitize) - Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as required in the Franchise Operations Manual - Routinely monitors and records food temperatures on a log to ensure safe holding temperatures of hot and refrigerated foods - Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards - Performs light paperwork duties as assigned - Works safely with various food service equipment as dictated by the franchise (i.e. ovens, microwaves, toasters, meat slicers, knives, deep fryers, can openers, etc.) - Completes the training courses as directed and/or dictated by the franchise
Qualifications
16+ years old
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
