This hands-on position reports to the Operations Manager working with the Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate the repair and maintenance of production machinery, tooling, support equipment and building maintenance, by performing the following duties personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Equipment Maintenance
a. Assist with machine change overs.
b. Preventative maintenance of fixtures and tooling.
c. Robot PM and trouble shoot machines.
Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
e. Breakdowns and Repairs – responds in a timely manner to machine failure coordinating resources to expedite repair and return to service.
f. Predictive and Preventative Maintenance - Maintains predictive/preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment
g. Spares Stores – Monitors spare parts inventory and makes adjustments to items stored and quantity to assure parts are available for PM and repair needs.
h. New equipment installation or rearrangement – works with maintenance and support staff to install new or existing equipment rearrangement to efficiently complete moves and getting machines back to service.
2. Facilities
a. Maintain property as well as the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
b. Maintain for trucks, lift, and other non-production equipment.
3. Other
a. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
b. Takes a proactive approach in both safety and environmental issues.
c. Identifies projects or changes to improve reliability and reduce costs.
MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

1. Post High School Education Desirable, college or trade school.
2. Good verbal communication skills.
3. Good record keeping ability.
Minimum 5 years of industrial machine maintenance experience
5. Good mechanical, electrical, and software aptitude.
6. Experience with robots, finishing equipment, plc controls, other tools of the trade like welding, mills, cutting equipment.
7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manual and electrical prints and schematics.
8. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization including engineering and leadership.
9. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
