SUMMARY
Under regular supervision, performs mechanical assembly and electrical assembly tasks required in a machine-building environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Panel Building (Primary)
- Layout according to print
- Mount hardware, wire ways and terminal strips
- Wires all devices according to print
- Labels strips and devices
2. Machine Wiring (Primary)
- Runs correctly-sized conduit between devices
- Mount wire way as required
- Pulls, labels and terminates wires at devices and junction boxes
3. Machine Testing (Primary)
- Check input/output to all devices
- Verify all devices operate correctly
- Check operation of systems control device
4. Machine Building
- Assemble mechanical assemblies to print.
- Plumb pneumatic, hydraulic and hydronic systems from schematics.
- Level and align components to specifications.
MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complete work assignments in compliance with Company safety standards
2. Provide and maintains personal hand tools required to effectively perform work assignments.
3. Maintain organized and clean work environment.
4. Assist in training of employees.
5. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

1. One year certificate from college or technical school; Five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Capable of understanding engineering drawings, routings, and BOM's.
3. Capable of understanding pneumatic, hydraulic and hydronic schematics.
4. Capable of understanding electrical schematics.
5. Capable of understanding PLC ladder logic.
6. Familiar with industrial machine control devices.
7. Excellent wiring techniques.
8. Strong mechanical aptitude.
9. Familiar with N.E.C. practices.
10. Ability to use computer programs in an effective manner.
11. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
12. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
13. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
