Location: 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY SpartanNash is seeking a Corporate Web Project Lead and strategist who will oversee the company's presence on websites owned by or featuring SpartanNash, including strategizing, managing, optimizing and prioritizing the content and features of the sites, as applicable. This person will manage ongoing deployment of new features while making analytics-based recommendations for site navigation and search engine optimization on a variety of owned domains. The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager, creative and data-driven who ensures that the strategies, execution and UX are leading our industry. The role will be integral to the Communications Department while being a bridge with technical know-how with the IT team. RESPONSIBILITIES * Serves as main subject matter expert and advocate for corporate websites under the SpartanNash brand * Develop vision for ideal end state of external web presence and UX with mobile-first design * Establish website governance framework, including content publishing process, content audits, new website domain registration approvals, documentation, etc. * In partnership with Communications Department, develop content, style, tone, and layout standards aligning to style guide and brand standards * Partner with subject matter experts to create and publish relevant, timely and accurate content across owned digital channels, optimizing for SEO * Create and implement a web strategy and also work behind the scenes on a lean team -hands-on work is expected. * Monitor and update content as appropriate about SpartanNash on third-party websites such as Wikipedia * Establish and regularly review and report site metrics and performance for strategic recommendations and optimizations * Navigate a complete approval process and move projects along with speed and accuracy * In partnership with IT, ensure ongoing compliance with privacy and accessibility requirements (GDPR, ADA, etc.) * In partnership with IT, ensure sites are performing up to standard (page speed, page experience, etc.) and aligned to best practices (e.g., are plug-ins still up-to-date and beneficial?) * Collaborate with IT on development and back-end changes and enhancements * Proven track record of establishing strategy, metrics, site goals, and pivoting based on data for optimal performance * Other projects as assigned REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of experience running one or more public-facing websites, preferably for a Fortune 500 company * Strong knowledge of Web Content Management Systems, such as WordPress, Drupal, etc. * Agency experince and fast-paced environment a plus * HTML, JavaScript and CSS knowledge - Wordpress, Elementor and the like * Excellent skills writing for the web, including white-hat SEO principles * Solid understanding of UX and UI principles * Experience working with other departments to source, create and curate web content * Openness to feedback, edits and collaboration * Ability to manage stakeholder relations and make recommendations that match strategy * Proactive, customer-centric mindset with strong reporting skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively, communicate and influence others * Eagerness to juggle multiple, complex projects as the same time with grace * Passion for communications, brand building and learning more about digital/web marketing * Degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Technology or relevant field As part of our People First culture, SpartanNash is proud to offer a robust and competitive Total Rewards benefits package.
