Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor
Alpena Cement Plant

The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible planning, scheduling, coordination and supervision of shop mechanical employee activities to ensure that all equipment maintenance and repairs are done properly and on time.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
The incumbent is responsible for supervision, safety and training of their direct reports. The incumbent is to design and implement required skills enhancement training for each subordinate through both internal and external training programs.
The incumbent will ensure motivation of his group through proper delegation, participation, recognition, and follow up on suggestions and ideas.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in the most effective, efficient and timely manner possible.
The incumbent will give constructive feedback and coaching as required to maintain a high degree of professionalism within the group.
The incumbent must be able to use and understand the computerized maintenance management system (SAP) and have knowledge of the work order tracking system, spare parts catalogue and requisitioning and inventory systems.
The incumbent is required to be knowledgeable the mining process, mining mobile equipment, and mine crushing and hoisting systems as well as thorough understanding of the plant coding structure, plant budget, and company policy on capitalization in order to process error free transactions with proper cost allocation.
Work closely with all other disciplines within the plant and quarry.
Responsible for all quarry mobile equipment maintenance including preventative, predictive, proactive and routine maintenance.
Supervise the daily activities of Mobile Maintenance Technicians.
Drive workforce performance.
Documentation.
Planning and Scheduling of all work involving direct reports and contractors.
Maintain an accurate Work Order History.
Maintain the Mobile Equipment PM system in SAP.
Initiate PM01 Work Orders
Update Job Plans as required.
Manage work performance and attendance issues with direct report employees.
Be knowledgeable of and work within the Maintenance budget and assist Quarry Coordinator in forecasting actual spending.
Work with Quarry Coordinator to instruct quarry employees in proper performance of routine maintenance and daily mobile equipment inspections.
Work closely with other Maintenance Department and plant staff in planning and scheduling Mobile Equipment maintenance.
Attend planning, scheduling and coordination meetings as required.
Assist in Mobile Equipment spare parts inventory control.
Initiate purchasing action for spare parts, which fall below the established minimum level using SAP reports and features.
Review outstanding purchase requests on a weekly basis and initiate expedition action when and if required.
Assist in the month end accrual process.
Ensure that all routine transactions relating to material receipt issues both debit and credit and the cycle count process are correctly recorded.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Required Computer and Software Skills : SAP experience a plus
Travel Requirements : Travel 1-2 times annually as required for training

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
