Aerotek is hiring a qualified CNC Machinist for a long term opportunity in an immaculate prototype machine shop. They are equipped to meet the demanding prototype needs in the automotive, medical equipment, and other manufacturing industries. Working from either a 3-D CAD model or a blueprint, and utilizing any of their in-house CNC machining centers, they can produce a dimensionally precise prototype of virtually any part - and in any quantity, whether you need just a single part or more.
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay: $20-$25/HR (based on experience)

Job Description:
In need of a long-term Machinist to download program, get tool list, read a blueprint, set up Mill (4 to 6 axis).
-With any new part getting done: run 1st detail and then measure to make sure within tolerance with hand tools or CMM if needed; if detail is correct the Programmer will then program the next detail and set up tech will perform same process.
-With any repeat program; set up tech will download software, get tool list and run(all operations should have previously been programmed correctly).
-Will take 1st piece to Quality lab, review CMM report, adjust if need and complete short run projects ranging from 1 to 300 parts.
-Will machine steel, magnesium, aluminum, plastics, castings, all varieties of materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have:
-Flexible, easy going attitude, help others when needed
-2+ years CNC 3 axis mill experience
-Blueprint reading knowledge
-Ability to read CMM report and make adjustments as needed
-Quality instruments: caliper, micrometer, height gages
-2+ years Haas or Fanuc controller experience
Nice:
-SurfCam
-Haas HL-4 experience
-Ok with sweeping the floor when needed
