Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant performs resident care activities and related services necessary to assist the charge nurse in maintaining the health, comfort and safety of residents.
Essential Functions
Give bed baths, tub baths, showers, shaves and shampoos as assigned by the charge nurse.
Provide AM and PM care as prescribed by the facility.
Assist residents with dressing, undressing and all activities of daily living, including addressing psycho-social needs.
Serve and remove meal trays, remove trays, feed residents, passes nourishments and provide fresh ice water for each resident.
Make resident beds, keep the residents unit neat and clean. Also perform assigned duties related to the maintenance of resident health, comfort and safety.
Provide and/or assist with bedpans, urinals and bathroom requirements.
Take, monitor and record vital signs and weights.

Assist with living, turning, transferring and positioning residents.
Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
Answer Call lights promptly.
Transport residents to and from activities and dining room.
Transport residents to and from activities and dining room.
Complete all assigned duties in a competent, professional, timely and satisfactory manner.
