In this role, you'll work a hybrid schedule of 3 days on site at our corporate office in Mason, Michigan, and up to 2 days remote.
TheBusiness Continuity Administratorwill ensure business impact analysis, business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, and testing is completed to support the resiliency of mission-critical business processes according to industry standards and company policy.
Day-to-Day Role:
Plan, facilitate, and document exercises and simulations of system and business disruptions to continuously improve plans and resilience strategies.
Provide awareness and training using a variety of methods to all levels of the organization
Work with document owners to ensure BC and DR plans are created and maintained in accordance with policy
Complete routine BIAs to support the identification of requirements for BC and DR plan development and prioritization
Support partnerships with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors when obtaining protection services and products
Participate in the execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans when a business or IT operations disruption occurs, in coordination with the business continuity manager and incident management processes
Provide project management support for business continuity and IT disaster recovery activities
Perform administrative activities, including periodic status reporting, documentation, and other activities, as assigned, in a timely fashion
Serve as administrator and second-level support for the business continuity application
Maintain a proficient and complete working knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery industry technologies, trends, and best practices
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Bachelor's degree required; an emphasis in Information Technology or Business is preferred
Four (4) years of experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Knowledge of all types of disasters, natural or otherwise, and their effect on company technologies
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in project management
Business continuity or disaster recovery certification
Fusion RM, or Salesforce experience
Microsoft Office, M365, Visio and SharePoint experience
Cloud technology knowledge and experience
