Job Description
Wyman-Gordon, located in Brighton MI, provides Nickel-based Extruded Powder Alloy for Military and Commercial Turbine Applications. The Brighton MI facility offers Vacuum-Melt Atomizers, Lathes, and Equipment for Complete Billet Processing and Certification. This growing, profit center is part of a highly successful, multi-billion diversified manufacturer. Precision Castparts Corporation (PCP).
Facilities Project Engineer
PURPOSE:
Provide engineering support and project management to major maintenance and capital improvement projects related to the Brighton facility buildings and plant equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Principal point of detailed technical contact with customer/vendor, responsible for building and maintaining
quality relationships with key technical stakeholders.
Ability to produce conceptual design drawings and specifications for plant or outside vendor fabrications for operational requirements or projects
Develop project scope, objectives and timelines involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility for multiple projects at a time.
Provide clear and thorough CAD drawings
Manage budget, schedule, subcontractors and internal personnel on projects
Evaluate safety requirements and regulatory compliance of designs
Serve as an information resource to maintenance personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
BS in an engineering/related discipline, MS preferred
5-10 years of project management experience; demonstrated success of managing complex projects from inception to commercialization; excellent systems engineering skills
PMP certified preferred
Proficiency with MS suite tools, including Office and Project
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3-D Drawing Software (AutoDesk Inventor Preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Good communication and organization skills
