Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring full-time Fabricators for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. This position involves working on new and exciting automotive prototypes in a variety of areas. This full-time Fabricator position is based out of Allen Park, MI and offers AM Day shifts and possible overtime. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Fabricator position below are strongly encouraged to apply. Day shifts plus possible overtime available.
Shift Schedule:
- PM Night Shift: 4pm-12:45 am (Monday - Friday + OT when needed)
Responsibilities:
- Weld instrumentation, exhaust tubes, and bosses
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with sanding disk and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
- Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up
Retirees and veterans are welcome
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge and ability to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) or Metal Inert Gas (MIG) weld
- Good communication skills and detail oriented
- Knowledge to safely operate and use the Plasma cutter and Oxy-Fuel torch to cut out material
- Must have own tools and rolling toolbox
Preferred Skills:
- Certificate in Welding Technology or related
