Duties
Our Maintenance Technicians perform general maintenance, grounds and/or custodial services and repair of all college facilities. General facilities services include maintenance of equipment and machinery including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, snow removal, etc.
Additional responsibilities may occasionally include providing trash pickup, shipping and receiving, and custodial tasks to maintain the premises in a clean and orderly condition during hours of operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and one year of technical, vocational, or trade school.
- One to two years of experience in electrical, heating, cooling, and ventilation; experience in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, roofing, and with direct control of HVAC system.
- Working knowledge of the operation and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of safety factors and legal codes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and ascending ladders.
- Valid driver's license.
