We are in search of a Principal Salesforce CPQ Architect to spearhead our Salesforce CPQ initiatives and play a pivotal role in aligning our CPQ program with our business goals. In this role, you will design Salesforce CPQ solutions, work with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical specifications, design and govern the Salesforce CPQ architecture that aligns with business goals, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness.
This role is part of the IT GTM (Go-To-Market) Systems team that is responsible for supporting the Sales, Marketing, Support, Global Services, Customer Success, and Alliances functions. The right candidate has empathy, curiosity, and desire to improve and constantly learn; has deep technical experience in all the capabilities and functionalities of Salesforce CPQ and the Force.com platform; and a proven track record of driving best practices and processes.
Position is remote for candidates in PST/MST.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Visioning: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand company objectives and translate them into a technology architecture that is aligned and future-proof.
Architectural Governance: Define and establish architectural best practices and standards to be followed by Salesforce CPQ developers.
Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interact with business stakeholders, conduct workshops and gather requirements, explain technological constraints, and present architectural solutions.
Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to the Salesforce CPQ developer team to help them implement quality technical solutions based on well-designed architectural plans.
Integration: Work with the integrations and BI teams on effectively integrating Salesforce CPQ with other enterprise systems such as Oracle ERP, marketing platforms, customer success tools, and the data lake.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential architectural risks and their mitigation strategies to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
Participate in key phases of the Salesforce / CPQ development lifecycle.
Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce CPQ features and developments in Revenue Cloud and make recommendations for improvements.
Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement: identify and resolve process. bottlenecks, data issues, and inconsistencies to help improve operational efficiencies.
You have what it takes if you have...
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce CPQ, preferably in a B-to-B SaaS environment.
Proven experience in configuring, handling, and customizing Salesforce CPQ for large organizations - building CPQ solutions from Lead to Order, including Contracts, Amendments, and Renewals.
Expertise in Salesforce CPQ, including but not limited to product configuration, pricing strategies, and quote-to-cash processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas in a business-friendly language.
Strong understanding of Lead to Order processes in a B2B SaaS business environment, ability to engage with stakeholders, present best practices, and create roadmaps.
Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps.
Previous experience in leading order to cash architectural initiatives for mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce CPQ product rules, price rules, advanced approvals, bundles, product configuration, summary variables, guided selling, quote templates, MDQ, QCP plugins
