Sr.
QMS Compliance Manager
located in
Farmington Hills, MI.
Reporting to the Functional Safety & Sr. QMS Compliance Manager, the Sr. QMSCompliance Manager role involves organizing and conducting system and product audits as well as facilitating and participating in management reviews for our automotive design center in Farmington Hills as well as at other automotive design centers and manufacturing locations of Flex in North America. Additionally, you will monitor and support the implementation of CAPA projects and develop new and improved procedures and processes to ensure compliance to the latest standards.
Flex Farmington Hills, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, is a fast-paced design center servicing global customer in the automotive sector. We offer full product development including overall system architecture development, hardware, software development and mechanical design. Flex has an ISO certified environmental and EMC lab in Toronto, Canada as well as testing chambers, equipment & system design and build capabilities.
What a typical day looks like:
Supporting the site's Quality Compliance team to assure the conformance of all organization's regulatory and quality systems requirements. Verify the proper implementation and effectiveness of the applicable Regulations, Standards, Policies, Directives and Level 1-2 Procedures in the organization.
Develop and implement policies, processes and procedures, training and other initiatives that fulfill the requirements of a Cybersecurity and Functional Safety management system.
Plan and perform internal audits and/or review results from the Quality Compliance team to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Verify compliance and conformance to all regulatory and quality systems requirements, including both Customer and Flex mandated. Additionally engage in external audit processes (Customers', Regulatory, Government Agencies, etc.).
Work with global product design teams to conduct confirmation reviews, assessments and audits for Functional Safety on awarded projects.
Facilitate ISO 21434 cybersecurity audits and perform product assessments to manage risk while ensuring compliance.
Provide support to any area that requires help to implement regulatory and quality requirements into their processes and develop training programs for internal users in subjects related to regulations or quality systems.
Document and maintain all audit findings and request, the corrective / preventive actions needed and create audit reports that identify any Non-Conformance or Opportunities for Improvement found during the audit process.
Follow up on internal and external corrective actions to ensure timely implementation and validate their effectiveness.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
Preferred certification in Functional Safety and Cybersecurity.
A finished relevant degree in combination with certification in ISO 19011, with lead audit experience from an internal and external point of view.
Additionally, experience with supplier quality assurance audits (SQA) and or lead auditor certification would give you an advantage
Seasoned knowledge with the regulatory and process frameworks used in the automotive industry (e.g. IATF 16949, VDA, ISO 9001, ASPICE, ) IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Certification is required.
Experience with quality management tools and methodologies used in Automotive Design and Manufacturing (e.g. APQP, DMAIC, Shainin, DFSS, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to successfully collaborate with the regional teams and stakeholders.
The ability to travel up to ~10% on average, domestically and internationally
