A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MORTGAGE LENDER
As a Mortgage Lender, you are in a revenue-generating position that makes an immediate impact on our bank's income--all while helping make the "American dream" of homeownership become a reality for our customers. You represent us in the community and build relationships in order to establish our brand and generate consistent and stable referral sources. You connect with customers to learn about their goals and match products and services that meet those needs. Always ensuring that we are in compliance and offer the best products, you stay abreast of market conditions and regulations.
You lead the entire lending process to ensure that it is seamless for the customer. You originate mortgage applications, conduct interviews, investigate mortgage loan products, and promptly notify customers of approvals or denials. You love that we give you the room to do what you do best--creating and fostering relationships with your clients and referral sources in order to successfully originate home equity and mortgage loans. You promptly submit weekly and monthly pipeline reports pertaining to mortgage loan activity and, with attention to detail, you make sure that all files are accurate and up to date!
As a collaborator, you partner with our Retail, Commercial, and Treasury teams to recommend other services that add even more value to your customer. You are excited about the awesome sale-able and portfolio products that we have to offer and our supportive localized management team with the authority to respond to market trends. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MORTGAGE LENDER
- Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of proven professional sales experience (preferably in lending) OR if no degree, 6 years of proven professional sales experience (preferably in lending)
- If in the Mortgage Industry, monthly production volume of at least 4-5 units closed totaling $750,000
- Must become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)

LENDING WORK SCHEDULE
The schedule for this full-time lending position is flexible to accommodate working where the customer is. It is a requirement of this position to be out of the office generating your own business. You will need to balance outbound calling with office time to manage the customer experience.
