TIP-TOPScrew Manufacturing produces roofing screws, concrete screws, heavy-duty fasteners, construction fasteners, and insulation fasteners. The production facility also provides E-coating, heat-treating, cold-heading, and custom-fabrication services. TIP-TOPcurrently has an opening for a Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift. This is a full-time, hourly position with excellent benefits that is located within Oscoda, Michigan. The 3rd shift position offers a $1.50 per hour shift premium bonus.
Essential Functions:
Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
Maintain facility and associated equipment.
Work with maintenance vendors.
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Complete and submit company purchase requisitions.
Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards.
Requirements:
3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired.
Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
Must have experience with Industrial Controls.
Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting, operating machinery, etc.
Ability to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication.
Excellent safety and attendance record.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
Self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized.
Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually.
