This is a FULL TIME ROLE that pays $80,000 - 83,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of the unit(s) staff in the delivery of quality person-centered care and customer service approach for residents and families within the community, ensuring compliance with policies and procedure and government regulatory agencies.
Participate in daily rounds to observe residents and to ensure nursing and restorative needs are being met. Communicate resident care needs to physicians/extenders to ensure medical intervention.
Review nurse and CENA resident clinical care documentation for accuracy and completeness and to ensure follow-up care for the resident. Communicate pertinent information from clinical documentation to Interdisciplinary Team for additional care options.
Maybe required to assist in planning, implementing and coordinating restorative wound management and in-service programs. May review/complete appropriate areas of the Minimum Data Set.
Participate in resident care conferences to summarize resident's care health outcomes .
Monitor nursing care for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) compliance and report quality metrics/data to Director of Nursing and QAPI committee.
Assist with staff attraction and retention efforts, including hiring, onboarding, staff development, coaching and counseling and performance management. Ensure delegation of responsibility, authority and accountability.
Assist with incident investigations, ensuring immediate resident/staff safety. Ensure the appropriate persons are notified as required by the community's policy and regulatory requirements and that documentation is complete, accurate and submitted timely.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
Current State of Michigan RN license
Experience
Two years' experience as an RN in an acute care/post-acute care setting with general knowledge in dementia care services.
Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Current knowledge of nursing standards and practices in accordance with state regulatory requirements and licensing board.
Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate others to meet/exceed expectations. Ability to lead teams to enhance resident care.
Ability to effectively train staff to produce desired results.
Ability to work proactively with physicians and all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of Minimum Data Set (MDS) and reimbursement case mix.
Ability to display compassion and sensitivity.
Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to understand the needs and wants of residents and families.
Ability and willingness to work constructively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ability to read, speak and write English using proper grammar, diction and style.
Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Additional Work Requirements
Ability to work flexible work hours to support resident care requirements. 24 hour on call availability.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Safely lifts with proper lift equipment and transfers person served weighing average of 150 pounds on a frequent basis.
Pushes person in wheel chair weighing up to 250 pounds on a frequent basis, often for long distances.
Frequently stoops, twists, bends, squats and kneels.
Lifts overhead.
Frequently lifts supplies weighing 25 pounds.
Frequently pushes/pulls medication and treatment carts.
Near visual acuity.
Finger and hand dexterity.
