Job Description:
Jacobs is currently seeking a Robot Simulator(s) to supplement staff engineering projects at multiple locations throughout the Greater Detroit Area. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to work in both an office/ laboratory environment and in a manufacturing facility to help customers achieve their desired production times.
These positions are full-time. This is NOT a contract position. You will be eligible for our generous benefit package, including health insurance, dental, vision, generous PTO, paid holidays, 401K, stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement
Typical Duties Include:
Designing, implementing, and completing robotic line simulations with the use of specific simulation software
Utilize Process Simulate software to simulate the movement of robotic automated systems
Problem-solve layout and timing constraints; provide solutions to design
Creation of safety parameters along with documentation (DCS, Zones, etc.)
Create complex multi tool and multi robot SOP's
Check and complete all simulation deliverables and setup robot safety zones
Create OLP's
Optimize cycle time and ensure proper sequence of operation
Ensure layout of robotic line meets customer standards
Interact with robot programmers to ensure expectations are being met
Ability to self-manage time to meet the needs of the project set by the customer
Here's What You'll Need:
Experience Requirements:
3+ years of operating Process Simulate, RobCAD, or Delmia software (Automotive experience preferred. Process Simulate experience preferred.)
Basic Microsoft Office Products Experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory.
It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
Work hours are normally 8 - 10 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary.
Other Essential Functions
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
