Job Description
Job Summary - Clinical (RN) Manager - Comprehensive Breast Care and Gynecologic Oncology
Manages, supervises, and coordinates the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing services unit of the hospital. Collaborates with the leadership team to develop site and service goals providing input related to the development and management of the budget. Develops policies and procedures in coordination with other leaders to support services in the provision of excellent clinical services.
Essential Functions - Clinical (RN) Manager - Comprehensive Breast Care and Gynecologic Oncology
Assumes day-to-day accountability for the delivery of quality services by directing the nursing assessment of all patients. Observes nursing care to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administered in accordance to physician instructions. Directs the preparation and maintenance of patient's clinical records. Accompanies physicians on rounds and keeps informed of special orders concerning patients. Orders or directs ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintains records on narcotics.
Manages the activities of professional, clinical, technical, and support staff. Facilitates the training and continuing education of employees. Provides direction and support to subordinates to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Selects, trains, develop, and evaluate subordinates and initiates personnel actions in accordance with departmental policies and organization philosophy.
Anticipates customer needs and manages the provision of services to all customers, including patients, physicians, hospital departments, and employees. Ensures that employees respond to requests for services, information, records, and data on a timely basis. Researches and resolves problems.
Manages nursing services to ensure that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.
Develops, implements, and maintains departmental annual operating budgets, ensuring that operations are managed within established guidelines.

Required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
