General Description:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Technician (QT) will support the corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) processes for clients, suppliers, products and processes. The QT will be responsible for recording, reviewing, analyzing, prioritizing and documenting quality data to support the organization's problem solving activities. The QT must be able to resolve simple client issues and complaints and provide accurate status updates through frequent and timely communication with clients regarding complaint resolution. In addition, the QT will support calibration and training activities. Principle Duties and Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Receive, document, and analyze incoming quality reports received from customers
Research situations and collect data required for analysis (, discern critical from non-critical information, investigate, take action to resolve specific situations
Use insights gained to apply to overall process improvements throughout the organization as warranted)
Establish supplier non-conformance and processes and improvement through corrective action processes
Contact clients to obtain additional information as needed
Resolve routine/simple client requests
Track status of client reports while communicate changes and updates are provided to clients - Develop and support calibration system and processes
Develop and conduct product and process audits
Support and develop product and process training
All other duties as necessary to support company operationsPosition Requirements
Associates Degree preferred - High school diploma or general education degree; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum two (2) years of experience with direct customer contact
Commitment to excellent customer service through individual efforts and a team approach
Fenestration or commercial building products experience (understanding of basic design concepts), strongly preferred
Experience with JD Edwards (or other ERP systems), strongly preferred
-Strong math and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational and problem solving skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
