PRODUCT ENGINEER I - THERMAL COMFORT SOLUTIONS
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - LEAR EAST CAMPUS/WORLD HEADQUARTERS
As a member of the Seat Comfort Engineering team, the Product Engineer will be responsible for:
The Role:
Supports completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
Design and development of product or part from the concept through the design process, validation, and production implementation.
Utilizes knowledge of engineering theory, material science, manufacturing processes, to design products to meet manufacturing plant capabilities and customer specifications.
Applies root cause analysis strategies to systematically solve product related issues.

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent discipline)
Proficient verbal and written communications skills
An ability to collaborate well in a team environment
Co-op, internship, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan
Ability to travel as needed
Bonus If You Have:
Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software
Automotive experience
Seating and/or seating component design experience
Experience in pneumatics systems
Practical application of DFSS and Shanin techniques
