HIRING AUTHORITY: Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt - overtime paid pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement and Human Resources policy
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period
CURRENT HOURS AND STARTING TIME: Full-time position (37.5 hours per week) The starting time for this position is 8:30 a.m.
GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing technical support to front line staff and the Special Projects Coordinator, with a focus on assisting with implementation and management of all special grants/projects operated by the Workforce Development Board and record management, performance, One-Stop Management Information System (OSMIS) and other data related issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
At the direction of the Special Projects Coordinator, assist with the coordination and implementation of special grants and projects.
Assist with participant eligibility and related information in the OSMIS.
Remain knowledgeable of all program rules and regulations, especially as they relate to customer eligibility.
Understand data validation and assist with implementing processes and monitoring participant records to ensure that all required documents are included, and all other requirements are met in order to pass data validation.
Assist with creating and tracking grant and special project performance and make recommendations to improve performance.
Assist in the preparation of various quarterly reports.
Data entry of participant, activities, and retention information into the assigned Management Information System.
Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in management and/or Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field Experience in the field of workforce development
Preferred Education and Experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience in workforce development including the use of the OSMIS (One-Stop Management Information System)
- Project management experience
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel

- Possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
