FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt - Overtime pursuant to the Human Resources and Relations Policy.
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: Just cause subject to probationary period
CURRENT HOURS AND STARTING TIME: Full-time position (37.5 hours per week). The starting time for this position is 8:30 a.m.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direction, assists with apprentice programs, to include but not limited to, working with businesses and job seekers to support current registered apprenticeships, help navigate the process of starting new registered apprenticeships and assist with tracking apprenticeship participation data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a liaison between Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board (M/SCWDB) and contract staff with apprenticeship-related matters.
Assists with oversight of employer and apprentice program compliance.
Assists with the development of new pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs, program documentation, monitoring, and reporting according to U.S. Department of Labor and M/SCWDB guidelines.
Assists in coordination of wrap-around services for registered apprenticeship program participants and sponsors.
Attends programmatic meetings with state partners and program stakeholders.
Plans and attends awareness, recruiting, and training in conjunction with contract staff.
Assists with the creation and presentation of digital and print outreach, training, and informational materials for staff, customers, and community partners.
Collects and reviews apprenticeship documentation for customer participation.
Completes appropriate documentation to process participant funding.
Utilizes One-Stop Management Information System and Salesforce to enter data, monitor, analyze, and document program participant enrollment, completion, and retention data.
Creates and maintains a calendar of deadlines for agreements, contracts, and reports.
Documents and tracks success stories from funded apprentices and employers.
Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.
Performs related duties as assigned.
