A Machine Maintenance Tech ensures the maintenance of quality and production by assuring the operations of mechanical machinery and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring the cleanliness of the machine and machine components using a hose, cloths, and vacuum; disassembling machines and taking off parts for replacement or repairs; examining and carrying out tasks on broken machine parts, identifying defective parts; giving recommendations to supervisors; putting machine parts together, and taking off hardened material from the machine using power and hand tools.
As a prerequisite the following qualifications are needed – mechanical specialty, outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the machine functions; general understanding of hydraulic systems; mastery in troubleshooting; and mechanical skills. A relevant diploma is commonly seen on successful resumes.
