MACHINE SHOP APPRENTICE (Full Time Only)
*Minimum Starting Wage $15.00 per hour (based on experience)
WORK SUMMARY: Perform machine shop operations and tasks in support of production operations.
Machining of parts as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gain and maintain competency in applicable core requirements and recurrence training
- Follow work instructions to repair product with little or no supervision, with little or no rework
- Follow and support safety, quality, regulatory and procedural rules, policies and guidance
- Perform other associated tasks as may be assigned
CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Drug and Alcohol Awareness
RECURRENCY TRAINING:
- FOD Prevention
- Human Factors
- Safety Management System/HAZCOM
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Read, write and understand the English language
- Basic math skills
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and remain subject random drug and alcohol testing
FULL TIME SCHEDULES (overtime is mandatory when required, ½ hr unpaid lunch, paid breaks):
- Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm 10.5 hour days/4 days (40 hours per week)
- Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm 8.5 hour days/ 5 days (40 hours per week)
