This position leads key enterprise-wide ITS and Business area portfolios (multiple programs), programs (multiple projects) and projects. This position partners with ITS and all levels of Meijer business leadership to prioritize, facilitate, manage, track and control high-level cross-functional portfolio and program projects that will significantly impact the business. Facilitates obtaining the business case and requirements, creates project plans and makes appropriate adjustments to scope, schedule, budget and other resources based upon the needs of the projects and programs and is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project, program and portfolio work efforts. The Lead Sr. IT Project Manager has significant communications accountability to business leaders, ITS leadership and consultants with regard to project, program and portfolio strategy, status and change management. Works with ITS and the business to develop metrics and reporting for projects, programs, portfolios and budgets and builds and maintains scorecards.
The Lead Sr. IT Project Manager is considered a subject matter expert and is adept at blending the range of services with industry best practices in project and portfolio management, Methodology, metrics/scoreboarding, governance and/or resource management. The position designs, develops and implements formal project, program, and portfolio management, Methodology and/or resource management standards, software, processes, templates and tools that align ITS to corporate goals. Communicates, trains and supports these standards, software, processes and tools within the ITS department and the business community
Leads the planning of one or more large, cross-functional, multi-vendor projects, programs (consisting of multiple related projects), or a portfolio (multiple programs). Provides day-to-day leadership and direction cross-functional project teams.
This position follows a hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote

What You'll Be Doing:
Lead team of Project Managers, SCRUM Masters, and Release Train engineers
Sets up and tracks specific project, program and/or portfolio plans, schedules and budgets. Reviews project/budget plans for consistency and standards adherence and sets direction for improvement. Manages cross-project dependencies. Appropriates resource allocations (hours and dollars) within projects and programs.
Provides project management leadership services for key ITS and business projects, programs, and/or portfolios that will significantly impact the Meijer business.
Leads in the development of key business relationships and integrate activities with other ITS departments, business areas, and/or vendors to ensure successful implementation and support of project, program and portfolio efforts.
Provides forecast analysis and planning for portfolio and/or programs, including roadmaps, business plan, Establishes and executes forecast strategies and goals.
Align, define, and prioritize projects and resources to flex with changing business needs
Owns reporting governance, communication cadence, and alignment

What You'll Bring With You:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
3+ years of leadership experience required. Leading a team of technical Sr Project Managers, Project Coordinators along with contractors
PMP certification, Agile/Scrum (SAFe), Lean and/or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
10+ years of experience in Project Management in the IT Infrastructure domain
Experience with ServiceNow SPM/ITBM/PPM is strongly preferred
